Welcome back to another episode of the Quiet Money Method. So, this is one thing that I really wanted to talk about, and this is a topic where I actually get a lot of questions on. And why I started trading and what caused me to start trading and what was my mindset with trading. And to be honest, I was broke when I initially got started with trading. I was from rock bottom, and it actually ended up not only fueling me as an income stream but also rebuilding me as a person. So to be completely honest with you, I think honestly, uh mindset is where it all starts. Appreciating the little things and being willing to dive into yourself and put your ego aside. You know, when you're learning a skill set and you're at rock bottom, I know so many people that have an ego that is just like in the way of their success and moving forward and wanting to learn a new skill set. And when you're learning a skill set like day trading, your ego needs to get put away. And having that ego put to the side is hard for some people, and for me, it it really wasn't because I knew I wanted to grow into the best version of myself that God had planned for me. So when I started learning day trading, it actually stopped being mostly about the money, and I know it's kind of like, well, what do you mean it stopped being about the money? But it stopped being about the money in the way of it was really a big self-development move for me, and that's why I talk about psychology so much inside of QMM, and I have the psychology coaches in there, and I have all the things that help make you stay consistent and be on track because when you're trading, having good psychology is key, you can have any strategy out there, and your psychology is like 80% it, and the strategy is the rest of it. But when you learn day trading and you let it stop being about just the money, because the money will come if you start focusing on you, your growth, walking with God, the charts won't just teach you a skill of how to trade, it will also teach you how to be disciplined, it will teach you patience, it will teach you how to wait and how to sit with yourself even in uncomfortable moments and trust in God and trust in the plan that He put in front of you. And you know, one of the things that I'm reading from my notes here that I wrote down is the market wasn't testing my strategy, it was testing whether I would keep my word to myself because every time I would set up a setup, this is years ago, and actually sometimes recently, where I would set up a setup and I would be so excited for it, and I'm like, Yeah, I'm gonna hold out on it, blah blah blah, and I ended up closing out early because I got anxious or I got nervous or I doubted myself. And guess where it went? It went all the way up and hit my take profit each and every time, and it wasn't me testing my strategy, it was literally me testing whether I'm gonna keep my word to myself and me not keeping my word to myself by staying in my trade, by holding out, by being patient, by being disciplined. Those were things that I was lacking that I needed to work on. It wasn't anybody else but me, it wasn't it's not your mentor, it's not the course, it's not the person, it's not the charts, it's not the market, it's you. It's at the end of the day, you will realize it's you learning a new version of yourself that God incorporated a way of making money in with that skill set. So the charts became a mirror for me, and this is one of my notes is every habit I carried in my life showed up in those candlesticks, and my impatience, my need for instant results, my greed, my abandonment of a plan, or just it's too hard, I'm not gonna do this. And that shouldn't make you afraid to one-two-day trade, it should make you want to learn the skill. Because if you can learn how to grow past those tough situations inside of a skill set that nobody could ever take away from you, that's like a double whammy. That's absolutely amazing, and I was so excited for it because really it's not about whether you can do it or not, it's about are you willing to grow? So, a reflection on Proverbs 13:11. Wealth that comes fast tends to slip away, but what is gathered little by little grows, and that is what you need to keep in mind. Keeping promises to yourself, that is the real currency. I hope this blog post and I hope that this little podcast for five, six minutes here was able to shed some light on the deeper side of trading, and that it's not to make you scared, it's to let you know that you're not alone, and it is a beautiful journey because when you become that better version of yourself and you grow into that person you want to be, it's a whole nother level that if you were able to peek behind the curtain and see, you would be racing to get there. So don't think of uh don't think of the perspective of what if I fail? What about what if it works out? I'll see you on the other side. Have a good night.
